Hello, I’m Matthew Rechs, a consultant and coach in the creative industries. I work across all fields of digital media, and I have a speciality in the area of digital type.
I partner with creative people to coach them on their business and career skills. I’m committed to diversity in my practice and in my life. Anyone is welcome to contact me, especially those of you who are under-represented or marginalized. (And 👋to my 🏳️🌈people.)
I worked on the Creative Cloud team at Adobe, and until 2019 I was the head of Adobe Type and Typekit. Before that, I spent nearly 20 years working in digital agencies small and large, in roles ranging from software engineer to CTO and EVP Business Development.
With my new venture Business Letters LLC, I’m looking to put that experience to work for my clients. I’m focused on helping clients in two ways:
Helping creative people succeed by improving their business skills, and
Helping businesses get better results as they work with designers and creative markets.
After more than 25 years in the creative industries, I’m proud of what I’ve learned and the incredibly diverse set of relationships I’ve created. I’m looking forward to sharing that with you, and finding out what we can learn by working together.
