Speciality in Type

👉 As of 2024, I’m now CEO at Type Network, home to many of the world’s finest typefaces from the world’s top designers. I’m pressing pause on taking new coaching clients. As the leader of Type Network, I’m here to help any type designer with any problem — whether you’re a TN partner or not. Drop me a line and I’ll be happy to help.

I work as a coach and consultant to people in the type industry. I’ve cultivated this speciality through my work at Adobe and more than a decade working in the Type industry.

I consult with type designers on all aspects of the business of type and fonts. These are a few of the clients who have hired me:

No matter what stage of your career, I can help any type designer solve their business problems. I work with companies of all sizes to solve font problems of all kinds, including any type of licensing issue.

I’ve helped negotiate contracts with Adobe (where I led the team that created Adobe Fonts), Monotype, and others, I’ve help write countless EULAs, created enterprise pricing models, and generally helped run type businesses more smoothly and profitably.

Foundry Acquisitions

The past few years have marked several acquisitions of type companies — small and large. Many established foundries are fielding offers to sell their library, accelerating their future revenue.

This is a high-stakes and complex decision, involving both business and personal considerations. I’ve been hired as an advisor to many transactions, assisting both buyers and sellers in these transactions. I can help you evaluate these opportunities, understand the risks and rewards, and make a decision that you’ll be happy with.

Talk with me and we can discuss how I can help you make your business work the way you want it to.
